60Hertz Acquired by Accurant International

60Hertz started in 2017 with a hard problem in a hard place: keeping renewable energy assets running in some of the most remote communities in the country, where the nearest technician might be a plane ride away and a missed maintenance window can mean a community without power. We built our platform around that reality — mobile-first, offline-capable, designed for the field tech standing on a rooftop or a tundra substation with a tablet in hand. We’re grateful to the operators who trusted us with that problem early on, when we were a small team and a new platform — that trust is the reason we’ve been able to grow into what we are today.

Every customer over the past 10 years has shaped and formed the product. We’ve had more than 6,000 calls with unique solar, storage and microgrid operators and asset owners. 60Hertz has facilitated more than 1,250,000 maintenance jobs in the past five years alone. We’ve saved our customers approximately $4M in avoided asset loss, avoided time wasted troubleshooting unsuccessfully, avoided SLAs misses, and avoided revenue shortfall. Our customers chose 60Hertz in 2018 because we were two Alaskans trying to help improve remote village O&M; Our customers choose us today because we’ve grown into a Computerized Maintenance Management System that pairs real AI capability with proven reliability, serving hundred-megawatt storage and solar assets in multiple countries.

The industry is going through major changes as distributed generation is expanding. Grids are getting more complex. Utilities, developers, and service companies managing solar, wind, and battery storage assets need infrastructure management tools that can keep pace with that complexity.  It’s a challenge we’ve been squarely in the middle of— and it’s shaped every part of how we’ve built our platform.

To support the needs of the industry and continue expanding our services, on September 18, 2026, Accurant International acquired 60Hertz Energy.  Accurant is a technology consulting and investment firm focused on energy, power, and climate technology. It gives us more resources to keep building for the operators we serve, without changing who we are or how we work with them

Piper Foster Wilder, 60Hertz’s founder, put it this way:

“60Hertz’s mission has been and remains to enable people and their assets to achieve their full potential. Accurant is the best possible long term partner to accelerate adoption and help our platform reach its full potential. 60Hertz’s commitment to solar, storage and the electric power industry is yet stronger. As the only purpose-built O&M platform for renewables and electric grid we are faithful to building workflows and features that resonate with our customers’ and prospects’ needs today and into the future. l”

What’s Next

Over the years we’ve grown alongside the industry we serve — from supporting microgrid operators in remote, hard-to-reach communities to managing infrastructure for utility-scale solar, storage, and generation portfolios across the country. That growth didn’t happen because the mission changed; it happened because our customers kept showing us new corners of this industry that needed the same rigor and reliability we built our platform on in the first place.

Joining Accurant is the next step in that progression. We’re now part of a family of companies that share our passion for the grid and renewable energy — each one focused on making critical infrastructure more reliable for the people who depend on it. It’s a group we’re proud to stand alongside, and the kind of company we want to keep becoming: one that grows in capability without ever losing sight of the job site.

Bahman Hoveida, CEO of Accurant International, echoed that fit:

“60Hertz is a natural fit within Accurant’s portfolio of companies focused on solving some of the most important challenges facing the energy industry. As generation becomes more distributed and the grid continues to evolve, asset owners and utilities need better tools to manage the growing complexity of their infrastructure. 60Hertz has built a strong platform and customer base, and we look forward to supporting the company as it continues to grow.”

— Bahman Hoveida, CEO, Accurant International

Backed by Accurant, we can move faster on the roadmap our customers have been asking for — deeper product capabilities, tighter connections between monitoring and dispatch, and the kind of platform investment that used to take years compressed into months. The problems our customers bring us aren’t getting simpler, and now we have real resources to match that complexity instead of just keeping pace with it.

That’s the future we’re building toward: a platform that keeps getting more capable, a team that stays just as close to the field as we’ve always been, and an industry that has one more reason to trust that its infrastructure is being maintained well. We’re glad to have you along for it.

What Doesn’t Change

If you’re a 60Hertz customer, the short answer is: nothing changes day-to-day. You’ll work with the same team, log into the same platform, and get the same level of support you always have. Your contract, your data, and your point of contact all stay exactly as they are. 60Hertz continues to operate under its own name — we’re not being absorbed into something else, we’re getting backed by a partner who understands why reliable infrastructure matters.

The values that got us here don’t change either. We’re still the team that shows up honest about what our platform can and can’t do yet. We still measure ourselves by whether the field tech’s Monday morning got easier, not by how impressive our roadmap sounds in a pitch deck. We’re still curious about the specific, sometimes strange conditions our customers operate in — a remote microgrid, a 200MW solar portfolio, a substation nobody’s visited in person in months — because that curiosity is what makes the product actually useful instead of just impressive on paper.

Joining Accurant is resourcing for that work, not a departure from it.

If you have questions about what this means for your account or your team, reach out to your 60Hertz point of contact — we’re glad to talk through it. And if you want the full details on the acquisition, you can read Accurant’s announcement.
